Applications

Western Blot Validated

Published Applications

Antibody clone 3A9 has been published for use in Western blot by Xiangzhi et al. Mol Cell Biol (2011), PMID: 21059868, DOI: 10.1128/MCB.00259-10. Active Motif may not have validated the antibody for use in this application.

Immunogen

This PCL2 antibody was raised against a recombinant protein corresponding to amino acids 103 - 327 of mouse PCL2.

Buffer

Purified IgG in PBS with 30% glycerol and 0.035% sodium azide. Sodium azide is highly toxic.

Background

PCL2 (Polycomb-like 2, MTF2, M96) is a member of the Polycomb PRC2 protein complex and is important in cell fate decisions and may play a role in recruitment of PRC2 to target genes and histone methylation. PCL2 regulates gene expression patterns controlling self-renewal and commitment in embryonic stem cells and plays a critical role in ESC differentiation and self-renewal. PCL2 contains two PHD fingers.
