Application Notes

Applications Validated by Active Motif:
WB: 1:500 - 1:1,000 dilution

Immunogen

This antibody was raised against a recombinant protein corresponding amino acids 1-20 of human SOX6.

Buffer

Purified IgG in 70 mM Tris, 105 mM NaCl, 0.07 mM EDTA, 31 mM glycine, 0.035% sodium azide, 30% glycerol. Sodium azide is highly toxic.

SOX6 antibody (pAb) tested by Western blot.
SOX6 antibody detection by Western blot. The analysis was performed using 20 µg of mouse testes nuclear extract and SOX6 at a 1:500 dilution.

Background

SOX6 (SRY (Sex Determining Region Y)-Box 6) is a transcriptional activator. Binds specifically to the DNA sequence 5-AACAAT-3. Plays a key role in several developmental processes, including neurogenesis and skeleton formation.
